Hawthorne Historical Museum and Cultural Center

The Hawthorne Historical and Cultural Center is located at 7225 SE 221st Street (also known as Johnson Street)

 at the crossing of the two railroads on the south side of town.  

The museum is open on Saturday from 1pm - 4pm and we look forward to your visit.


Our Historical Society meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month @4:30 at the museum.  

No meetings are held July or August.  We urge you to become members of the society and be involved in preserving the history of Hawthorne.

 We have ongoing projects and welcome your input and help.

The Historical Society has a Memory Brick Program.  Consider ordering one or more bricks to honor yourself or loved ones.  One engraved brick is $50, 2 are $90.
